Recycled Solvent Purity

Now that I've recycled my histology solvents, how do I know they are pure?

Checking your recycled solvent purity is simple and easy.  Once you start checking your recycled sovlent you will appreciate the consistent, high purity solvent the B/R recyclers are famous for. 

Xylene:  Recycled xylene purity can be determined using a simple test with water and a graduated cylinder.  Click here for a detailed procedure.

Alcohol:  Recycled alcohol purity can be checked with a common hydrometer.  You can purchase an inexpensive hyrometer from any lab supply company or from us.

Formalin:  Your formalin recycler came with a formalin test kit good for 100 tests.  The kit manufactured by Anatech, a leader in histology chemicals and stains.
